Client hosting issues Friday 8th Aug 2014

Our website was down for a time on Friday afternoon, 8th August 2014. A number of clients experienced the same issue. The problem was an unusual one with one of our hosting providers, Irish Domains, in summary there was a denial of service attack on some systems, and they had a 30x increase in inbound network connections, Irish Domains resolved the issue later on Friday – details on the issue can be found here
